
ABOUT BLOOMSBURG
Bloomsburg was established in 1802 as Eyersburg and/or Eyertown, but was renamed in 1870 when the land merged with Bloom Township. This town is home to approximately 12,000 residents and is located along the north branch of the Susquehanna River. Bloomsburg is commonly known for it's university and annual fair. Bloomsburg University was established in 1839 and has an enrollment rate just under 7,000 students. The Bloomsburg Fair began in 1855 and is the largest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania that runs for 9 days every September. The family friendly fair provides food, music, rides, and more.
